Kiteboarding School of Pousada Sitio Phoenix, offers kite lessons by IKO qualified instructors.
The kitesurfing instructors are certified by the IKO (International Kite Organization), with the best equipment for their safety. Our courses are divided into:
DISCOVERING Course
BASIC Course
INTERMEDIATE Course
ADVANCE Course
DISCOVERING Course: is 3 or 4 hours in length depending on the student's performance. In the first phase introduced the theory of equipment assembly, where the student will learn to fly the kite on land discovering the neutral zone and area of strength. The goal of discovering the kite is the student to know all the security systems, completely dominate the kite in any situation, taking off and landing.
BASIC Course: is 9-12 hours. Teach to beginners with small kites or 2 lines and boards. During the first day of the intermediate course is taught everything that refers to the theory, knowledge and application of the equipment and safety rules for kite surfing.
INTERMEDIATE Course: is committed to flying with the small kite in the neutral zone, taking off and landing, and the area of strength (body dragging) the Body drag is nothing more than dragging the body in the water with the kite. The main objective of the first day, and the student takes over the entire kite in any situation, taking off and landing, engaged and disengaging the rapézio.
ADVANCE Course: is to learn the style of riding and changes in direction of the kite, known as Jibe, and learning to fly the kite while the force "power" in the barrel. This course also taught the technique to budget (up wind) wind up.
