Declared as an Environmental Protection Area (APA), Jericoacoara became a National Park in 2002, brought many restrictions for new constructions and get more control in the their Presevation Area.There is not any paved road, only sand. Houses can be built with maximum of 2 floors. Jeri is not only known as the birthplace of one of the most amazing beaches in Brazil, but is a destine ecologically secure and a paradise for nature lovers.
